Abstract: This paper describes the potential impacts of photovoltaic power plants on environment in the Czech Republic. In the first part is evaluated an analysis of a life cycle of photovoltaic modules by means of CLM method’s. Next there are describes effect on landscape character, built up area and impact of photovoltaic power plants on the environmental during their operation. The finish part deals with the recycling method and with the influence of semiconductor on people.
