| Abstract: | Jemenská republika prochází v posledních letech negativním vývojem v oblasti politické, socio-ekonomické i bezpečnostní a do ohniska zájmu akademiků a bezpečnostních expertů se dostává především v souvislosti s nárůstem separatistických tendencí některých provincií a také s nestátními ozbrojenými aktéry, pro které je neschopnost státních struktur plnit své základní funkce bezpochyby příznivá, jelikož tak získávají větší manipulační prostor pro své aktivity. Cílem této práce je na základě detailní analýzy ekonomické, politické a vnitrostátní bezpečnostní situace, působení nestátních povstaleckých a separatistických skupin na území Jemenské republiky v období 2011-2015 zjistit míru slabosti státu a příčiny, které k tomuto stavu vedly. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, kdy první část nahlíží na problematiku slabé státnosti z teoretického hlediska a představuje tento koncept zejména prostřednictvím teorie Roberta Rotberga. Následuje druhá část práce, kde je představený teoretický koncept aplikován na případ Jemenské republiky a následně analyzována ekonomická, politická a bezpečnostní situace v období 2011-2015. |
| Abstract in different language: | The Republic of Yemen has negatively been developing in the political, socio-economic and safety areas. It is mostly getting into focus of scholars and security experts in connection with the increase of separatist tendencies of some provinces and also with the non-state armed participants, who are undoubtedly benefiting from the inability of state structures to fulfil the basic functions as they can get a greater manipulative space for their activities. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the issue of a weak statehood from the theoretical point of view and it introduces this concept via the theory of Robert Rotberg. The following second part of the thesis applies the introduced theoretical concept on the case of the Republic of Yemen. Afterwards, the economical, political and domestic safety situation in years 2011-2015 is analysed in such way to fulfil the target of this thesis, which is the determination of the degree of the states weakness and of the cause that has led to this situation. |
