| Abstract: | Svou práci jsem vypracoval jako State of the Art review, v překladu anlýzu stávající litreatury. Hlavní pro mě tak byla literatura, která doposud na toto téma byla vytvořena. Pro mou práci byly primární témata jako nedostatek vody, enviromentální tíseň, spolupráce a konflikt. Do celé práce jsem důkladně vybíral literaturu tak, aby odpovídala tématu, aby byly rovnoměrně zastoupeny oba proudy, jak spolupracující tak konfliktní element. Texty jsem dle jejich obsahu zařadil do dvou kapitol buďto do kapitoly Konfliktní element, nebo Spolupracující element. V úvodu práce jsem čtenáře seznámil s tématem s vývojem enviromentální politiky, ale také s pojmy spolupráce a konflikt. Dále jsem se již zaměřil na konkrétní publikace. Jelikož existují dvě skupiny odborníků, kteří se ke stejnému tématu vyjadřují naprosto rozdílným způsobem, položil jsem si výzkumnou otázku: Jak je možné, že existují dvě skupiny odborníků, které mají na stejnou věc zcela odlišný pohled?. Její zodpovězení pro mne bylo primárním cílem celé práce. Sekundárním cílem pak bylo nastínění literatury pro čtenáře tak, aby se dokázal alespoň částečně zorientovat v existující literatuře k danému tématu. V závěru práce jsem pak celý text zhodnotil, popsal a zodpověděl výkumnou otázku. |
| Abstract in different language: | This bachelor thesis deals with a state-of-the-art review: Lack of Water as a Source of Cooperation and Conflict. Because I have chosen the state-of-the-art review as style of my bachelor thesis I work with texts and authors who target focus on a lack of water, conflict and cooperation. My work have two main chapters, these chapters focus on two main theoretical ways. I classify authors according to their opinions on these two schools. If the author has an opinion that environmental distress leads more to conflict, he is in chapter Conflict Element. On the contrary if his opinion is that environmental distress leads more to cooperation, he is in chapter two Cooperative Element. The texts and authors are chosen from Thomas Homer-Dixon and Aaron Wolfs texts because these two authors are the main protagonists of the water cooperation and conflict topic. I found the work of other authors in literature reference of Thomas Homer-Dixon and Aaron Wolfs publications. First chapter is devoted to the conflict element and Toronto school. This school says that environmental distress leads to the conflict. Second chapter is devoted to the cooperative element and Oregon school which says that environmental distress leads to the cooperation. Main goal of my work is to chart existing literature focused on the topic of my bachelor thesis. In the last part of my thesis I try to find out how it is possible that there are two groups of experts who have totally different views on the same thing. In the introduction of this thesis I describe how the environmental science have started to play a part in the international relations. I mention the most well-known authors who started this way of political science. I also mention the most important text that was written in this way. The decision of the importance of each text is my own. |
