| Abstract: | Cílem této bakalářské práce je porovnání dvou debat o skotské nezávislosti a všechno co jim předcházelo. Tato práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. První část je teoretická a druhá praktická. Teoretickou část jsem rozdělila na několik kapitol a podkapitol. V této části bakalářské práce se zabývám základními pojmy, které jsou nezbytné k pochopení současné situaci ve Skotsku. Zahrnula jsem zde pojmy národ, národní identita a nacionalismus v kontextu Skotska a Spojeného království. V další části zmiňuji různé typy sebeurčení například autonomii, devoluci a secesi. Poslední dvě kapitoly jsou věnovány Spojenému království od roku 1707 až do procesu devoluce. Praktická část se především zabývá dvěma debatami. Tuto část jsem rozdělila do dvou velkých kapitol. První z nich se týká prvního skotského referenda o nezávislost. Zahrnuje v sobě debaty a také oficiální kampaně. Druhá kapitola a zároveň poslední shrnuje proces Brexitu v souvislosti s druhým skotským referendem o nezávislost. V této části se také pokusím nalézt odpověďi na mé výzkumné otázky. |
| Abstract in different language: | The purpose of this Bachelor's thesis is to describe the two debates on Scottish independence and everything that preceded them. This thesis is divided in two parts. The first one is theoretical and the second one is practical. I divided the theoretical part into a few main chapters and several subchapters. In this part of the thesis I deal with basic concepts that are essential for understanding the current situation in Scotland. I included concepts of nation, national identity and nationalism in context of Scotland and the United Kingdom. In another chapter I mention different types of self-determination such as autonomy, devolution and secession. The last two chapters are dedicated to the United Kingdom since 1707 and to the process of Scottish devolution. Practical part deals mainly with the two debates. I separated it in two large chapters. The first chapter is concerned with the first Scottish referendum on independence. It contains the debate and official campaigns as well. The second and at the same time the last chapter sums up the process of Brexit in relation to second Scottish independence referendum. In this part I will try to as well find answers to my research questions. |
