| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá zmapováním vztahů mezi církví a válečnými mocnostmi v letech 1914-1945. Zkoumá postoje papeže a katolického duchovenstva k událostem 1. a 2. světové války. Uvádí papeže, kteří drželi pontifikát v těchto letech a jak se snažili bojovat proti vypuknutí bojů a jestli jejich snaha byla úspěšná. Na druhé straně ukazuje, jak se Hitler a jeho stoupenci snažili potlačit církev a do jaké míry se jim to podařilo. |
| Abstract in different language: | This thesis deals with mapping relations between the Church and war powers in the years 1914-1945. We will examine the attitudes of the Pope and the Catholic clergy to the events of 1st and 2nd World War. We will see Popes, who was the pontif in those years and how they tried to fight the outbreak of hostilities and if their efforts were successful. On the other hand we will show how Hitler and his followers tried to suppress the Church and how far they succeeded. |
