Abstract:	Práce se snaží postihnout osvícenské ideje ovlivňující období americké revoluce a války za nezávislost. Koncepce práce je založena teoreticky a vyzdvihuje nejvýraznejší revoluční ideje. Zabývá se osobností Benjamina Franklina, který svými aktivitami přispěl k vytvoření demokratické republiky na americkém kontinentu.
Abstract in different language:	The work tries to capture the ideas of the Enlightenment influence the American Revolution and the War of Independence. The concept of work is theoretically based and highlights the most significant revolutionary ideas. It deals with the personality of Benjamin Franklin, that their activities contributed to the establishment of a democratic republic on the American continent.
