| Abstract: | Výsledná kniha má formát 195 × 230 mm a 64 stran. Je šita otevřenou vazbou V4 a vytištěna na papír Munken Lynx gramáže 150 g/m2. Všívaná obálka je vytištěna na stejnojmenný papír gramáže 400 g/m2. Kniha je opatřena obalem v podobě lepenkové krabičky s bílým povrchem a ilustrovaným vnitřkem. Pro sazbu jsem zvolila kombinaci písma Radio Grotesk, Raker a vlastního fontu vytvořeného podle mého rukopisu. Radio Groteskem jsou vysázené odborné texty, úvod, závěr a dodatečné informace. Raker posloužil jako výraznější grafický prvek pro nadpisy a titul. Svůj vlastní font jsem vytvořila pro dodání autentičnosti deníkovým zápisům. Kniha není členěná do kapitol. Jedná se o souvislý příběh vyprávěný skrze deníkové zápisy, který je doplněn o odborné odstavce. Ilustrace mají jednotnou barevnost, které bylo docíleno digitálně. Modrá barva ilustrací má evokovat nemocniční prostředí. Ilustrace jsou vysazeny na bílou plochu, se kterou v celé knize pracuji, aby kniha působila klidnějším dojmem. Kniha je určena všem věkovým kategoriím. S její pomocí může například rodič vysvětlit svým dětem, co se mu děje (rodič je postižen roztroušenou sklerózou). Nebo může sloužit jako prevence v pediatrických ordinacích či školách (včasné podchycení nemoci). Kniha by měla sloužit jako osvěta veřejnosti a diagnostikovaným pacientům dát pocit naděje. Důležitá pro mě při tvorbě knihy byla právě již zmíněná prevence. |
| Abstract in different language: | The topic of my bachelor thesis is an author's illustrated book about the illness called multiple sclerosis. The book has two lines. The main line is a fictional story about a girl that has health problems and later on is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The story should bring the reader closer to the patient's feelings and problems. The second line has informational value for the reader. It explains different parts of the story or disproves girls' concerns and thoughts about some procedures and so on. The physical book is a small format with blue illustrations on a white canvas. The illustrations were made by a unique technique that consists of using different kinds of ink that is then dissolved and printed on another paper. The final result is an interesting print with partially blurry parts. The final illustrations were then scanned and coloured digitally to the same colour of blue. Another interesting thing about the book is that the story of the girl is told through her own diary. The text of the diary is printed separately on a pastel orange paper and then glued to the finished printed book. My book is suitable for any age group. It can be used by parents to explain to their kids what's happening to them (parent has multiple sclerosis) or it can be a prevention tool for schools or paediatric care. My main reason for the creation of the book was prevention, education of the public and giving a sense of hope to those struggling with this illness. |
