Abstract in different language: | The thesis focused on analyzing the main factors leading to migration, such as economic, political, and environmental causes. The study presents migration routes heading to Europe, including sea routes across the Mediterranean and the terrestrial Balkan route. Within Central Europe, Germany is the main target country for migration. Detailed analysis of immigration and emigration in selected countries, and the determination of migration balance and volume, was conducted using statistical data from various sources. Most countries exhibited a positive migration balance during the observed period. The structure of immigrants and emigrants was also assessed by gender, with the number of men slightly exceeding the number of women. Various consequences of migration were identified, which were reflected, for example, in the reactions of the European Union and individual member states to migration policy. This was manifested in diverse attitudes towards the topic of migration |
