| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce pojednává o bezpečnostním paktu AUKUS. Bezpečnostní pakt AUKUS je trilaterální aliance mezi Austrálií, Spojenými státy americkými a Velkou Británií, která vznikla v roce 2021. Pakt AUKUS je rozdělen na dva pilíře, tím prvním je prodej ponorek na jaderný ponor Austrálii, a také asistence Austrálii s následným vývojem nového typu ponorek s názvem SSN-AUKUS. Druhý pilíř aliance se následně zaměřuje na prohloubení spolupráce výše zmíněných třech států v mnoha technologických oblastech. Pakt AUKUS reflektuje současnou proměnu distribuci moci, která je zapříčiněna mocenským růstem Číny a čínských ambicí a vlivu v Indo-Pacifiku. Pakt AUKUS se na tento relativně nově vzniklý region zaměřuje a má se stát klíčovým nástrojem pro udržení otevřeného, stabilního a bezpečného Indo-Pacifik, což je zahraničně-politická vize členských států aliance. Cílem této práce je zhodnotit důvody vzniku paktu AUKUS a zhodnotit geopolitický význam Indo-Pacifiku z australské perspektivy. Posledním mým stanoveným cílem je představit reakce regionálních i mimoregionálních států, které jsou do určité míry paktem AUKUS ovlivněny. |
| Abstract in different language: | My master thesis deals with the topic AUKUS security pact. The AUKUS security pact is a trilateral alliance between Australia, the United States of America and the United Kingdom that was formed in 2021. The AUKUS pact has two main pillars, the first pillar focuses on the transfer of nuclear submarines to Australia, and also assisting Australia with the subsequent development of a new type of submarines called SSN-AUKUS. The second pillar of the alliance then aims at deepening the cooperation of the three countries, mentioned above, in many technological areas. The AUKUS pact reflects the current changes in the distribution of power, which is due to China's rise of power and its ambitions and influence in the Indo-Pacific. The AUKUS Pact focuses on this relatively newly emerging region and is intended to become a key instrument for maintaining a free, open and stable Indo-Pacific, which is the foreign policy vision of the member states of the alliance. The purpose of this thesis is to assess the reasons that led to creation of the pact AUKUS and to evaluate the geopolitical significance of the Indo-Pacific per se from an Australian perspective. My final goal is to present the responses of regional and extra-regional states that have been affected to some extent by the AUKUS Pact. |
