Abstract:	Tato práce se zaměřuje na region západní Afriky a je případovou studií, jejímž cílem je představit Hospodářské společenství západoafrických států ? ECOWAS jako integrační proces v západní Africe a poukázat na jeho specifika a problémy a na základě toho zhodnotit přínos této organizace pro daný region a její potenciál pokračovat v prohlubování integračního procesu.
Abstract in different language:	The topic of this thesis is regional integration in Africa. This work attempts to show how reginal integration works in West Africa as it is a case study on Economic Community of West African States. Aim of this thesis is to present ECOWAS as a regional integration in West African region and point out the specifics and problems ECOWAS has and on this basis to evaluate its benefits and potential for the region.
