| Abstract: | Die Bachelorarbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Studium des Lebens und des Werkes von Baronin Bertha von Suttner, von ihrer Geburt im Jahr 1843 bis zu ihrem Tod im Jahr 1914. Sie war eine sehr gebildete Frau, die ihrer literarischen Tätigkeit voll ergeben war. Ihr literarisches Wirken charakterisierte vor allem der Propagierung des Kampfes für den Frieden. Ihr Eisatz für den Frieden wurde mit dem Nobelpreis gewürdigt. Sie war die erste Frau, die so bedeutend ausgezeichnet wurde. |
| Abstract in different language: | In my work I´m writing about life and work of Bertha von Suttner, living from 1843 to 1914. She was a noble baroness, well educated and her central pupose in life interest was literature and the struggle for peace in the world. The first chapter describes her life in Europe and in the Caucasus. The main topic of the second chapter is her way from beeing a countess untill she got the nobel Prize. Therefore I have to explain the european policy in 19 th century, her participation in the efforts for peace, the establishment of peace societies and initiation of the Hague conference. Her famous work was the novel ?Die Waffen nieder?. This is what I imagine in its entirety in the third chapter. |
