| Abstract: | Meine in drei Hauptteile gegliederte Arbeit setzt sich zum Ziel, das Schicksal des Schriftstellers näher zu erklären und seinen Lebensweg mit seinem Werk und auch mit dem gesellschaftlichen Zeitgeschehen vergleichend zu beschreiben. Im ersten Teil stelle ich Urzidil´s Leben näher dar. Der zweite Teil versucht in Urzidil´s Werk autobiographische Elemente zu finden. Der dritte und letzte Teil bemüht sich darum, die politische und gesellschaftliche Situation zwischen Tschechen und Deutschen zur damaligen Zeit auf dem Gebiet Tschechiens zu beleuchten. |
| Abstract in different language: | In my work I´m writing about Johannes Urzidil, an czech author living at the beginning of the 20 th century. The first chapter deals with his life in Czech republic and the following flight into english and american banishment. In the second chapter I´m dealing with the question which relationship is to find between his biography and his literary writings. The historical, cultural, economical and political evolution in Czech is the main topic in the third chapter. Remarkable outstanding position there is the war with all his consequences and I describe the "Prager Kreis" as an literary important institution. |
