| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá vlivem kanadské vojenské účasti v Afghánistánu na federální volby v Kanadě a je ohraničena obdobím mezi lety 2001 až 2011. Práce obsahuje čtyři volební analýzy federálních voleb z let 2004, 2006, 2008 a 2011. Na jejich základě zkoumá klíčové události a klíčová témata jednotlivých voleb a dále do jaké míry ovlivňuje účast kanadských vojenských složek na intervenci v Afghánistánu rozhodování voličů ve federálních volbách. Cílem práce je prozkoumat jak se kanadská vojenská účast v Afghánistánu promítá do soupeření ve federálních volbách a je-li relevantním volebním tématem. |
| Abstract in different language: | The thesis deals with the topic of canadian military commitment and its impact on Canada's General Election. Thesis explores elections between years 2004 till 2011. Thesis consists of four electoral studies, respective studies were divided into two basic parts, one dealing with the topic of Afghanistan itself in the election time and the second part examined, which determinants were crucial for electorate to cast their ballot. The goal of the thesis is to explore to which extent Canadian militiry commitment in Afghanistan shapes vote in General Election and how it impacts electoral processes. |
