Abstract in different language: This paper focuses on the phenomenon of Islamophobia after the 9/11 attacks in Western Europe with a particular focus on the United Kingdom. The goal of this thesis is to explain the effects of 9/11 attacks on raising Islamophobic tendencies among non Muslim population. The core of this thesis is to find the answers to following questions: How did 9/11 attacks effect status of Muslims in Western Europe and the United Kingdom? Who were the main "catalysts" of this phenomenon, and what are the specific policies used to combat the issue?
