Abstract in different language: This thesis summarizes the current state of the art of methods for detection of event-related potential waveforms in brain -computer interface systems. The brain-computer interface helps disabled people to control applications which they are not able to control via a standard user interface due their handicap. The critical part of every brain-computer interface based on event-related potentials is the method which detects the event-related potential waveforms in the input signal.Nowadays, the detection methods are based on one or more methods from the following domains: statistical methods, methods in time-frequency domain, methods based on decomposition/approximation, artificial neural networks. Representatives of all these domains are described in this thesis. However, all these methods have weaknesses and it is the oportunity for inovation. Therefore, an inovative method for detection of event-related potential waveforms based on adaptive filtering will be scope of the Ph.D. thesis.
