| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá kanadskými zájmy v oblasti Arktidy, zúžené na teritoriální spory a ochranu domorodého obyvatelstva. V posledních letech nabývá Arktida na strategickém významu a v té souvislosti rostou i ambice a zájmy přilehlých států v této oblasti. Kanada v současnosti řeší několik územních sporů v arktickém regionu, přičemž největší prioritu přiznává Severozápadní cestě, strategické mořské trase. Práce se snaží zhodnotit kanadské územní nároky z politicko-geografického hlediska. Okrajově se práce zabývá ochranou přirozeného prostředí domorodého obyvatelstva. |
| Abstract in different language: | The ongoing transformation of the Arctic region has shaped political agenda of neighboring countries. There are five dominant state actors, who have significant interests in the area of Arctic. This bachelor thesis tries to reflect interests of Canada, using perspective of political geography. The author had aimed her attention to Canadian territorial claims, and marginally to preservation of indigenous people of Canada. |
