| Abstract: | Výsledkem mé bakalářské práce je kolekce, která nese název Opus ignis, neboli dílo ohně. Kolekce se skládá ze šestnácti kusů šperků a čtyř objektů. Šperky a objekty jsou vytvořeny "snoubením kovů" tedy kovářským svařením mědi a oceli, které jsem následně řezal a brousil, abych odkryl strukturu a kresbu kterou skrývají. Měď a ocel jsou pro mě v této práci velmi symbolické, měď zastupuje ženský kov a ocel mužský, tak jako ve starých kulturách, kdy lidé posuzovali vše na mužské a ženské. Samotná práce s ohněm a kovy pro mě byla velmi spirituální. Šperky a objekty jsou na povrchu špinavé a nesou stopy po práci v ohni, avšak když se pozorně podíváte, naleznete vždy jednu stranu, jež je vybroušená a čistá. Na vybroušené straně jsou vždy vidět čistě "snoubené" neboli kovářsky svařené kovy. Šperky mají brožové zapínání a některé šperky jsou vsazené do konstrukce z bílé mosazi ve tvaru kruhu. V kolekci jsou i dva závěsy na koženém řemínku. Kolekce obsahuje osm šperků a čtyři objekty. |
| Abstract in different language: | The result of my bachelor's thesis is a collection called Opus Ignis, or the Work of Fire. The set consists of sixteen pieces of jewels and four objects. Jewellery and objects are created by "pairing metals", thus by blacksmith welding copper and steel, which I then cut and grinded to reveal the structure they hide. Copper and steel are very symbolic for me in this work, copper represents feminine metal and steel masculine one, as in ancient cultures, where people judged everything as masculine and feminine. The work with fire and metals itself was very spiritual for me. Jewellery and objects are dirty on the surface and show traces of work in fire, but if you look closely, you will always find one side that is grinded and clean. In essence, objects and jewellery under an ugly shell are purely "combined" or blacksmith welded metals. The jewellery has a brooch fastening and some jewellery is mounted on a structure made of white brass strips. The collection also includes two necklaces on a leather strap. The set contains eight jewels and four objects. |
