Abstract: | Práce se věnuje vývoji a postoji elitismu ke klasické liberální demokracii. |
Abstract in different language: | The work is dedicated to the development and attitude of elitism to classical liberal democracy. The first part of this work deals with the basic ideological assumptions and theses of the concept of classical liberal democracy. The central part of this work consists of the classical theory of elites, which was conceived in the late 19th and 20th century as a critical response to the emerging concept of liberal democracy. Classical theorists elites built their theory on the notion of a society that is always divided into a narrow ruling group and a broad mass of the governed. This division was considered unrecoverable. The following section is devoted to the work interwar and postwar development of elitism, because during the 20th century has undergone certain changes that had an impact on general attitudes towards democracy as such.In this part the theory of "other" democracy by Joseph A. Schumpeter is presented. Subsequently attention is paid to neoelitist theories, two to a certain extent contradictory theories by Harold D. Lasswell and Charles W. Mills are presented. |
